1879 Professions High Tiers: Tribal Warrior

As the Tribal Warrior reaches Warden, their Profession focuses more on their fame and leadership. With Champion Challenge, the Tribal Warrior can call out the enemy’s greatest warrior, and decide the battle, or at least heavily influence it, with a one to one confrontation. Command, Rally, Strategy, and Show Armor Flaw all contribute to the Tribal Warrior’s ability to lead their forces in battle, and direct them effectively. Second Attack and Critical Hit increase their personal effectiveness, while Life Check and Lion Spirit give them the steadfastness expected of a fierce warrior. Their special ability does double duty, both as a combat boost and as a reputational one. Those seeing a Spectacular Strike will tell stories of it, based on the successes scored with the Impressive Display Test. The enemy may seriously reconsider their offensive, having seen the rollover to damage from the extra successes spending all that karma on an Attack Test will produce.

The Master Tier gives the Tribal Warrior the Skills to be terrifying on the battlefield. Concentrated Assault allows the Tribal Warrior to direct their allies in a focused attack to take out the enemy’s strongest fighter or unit. Multi-strike‘s repeated attacks against a single foe, combined with the horrific damage of Vicious Wound, grant the Tribal Warrior the prowess to shred their opponent, potentially in a single combat round. All of this contributes to their Fearsome Reputation. Once gained, this grants the Tribal Warrior an extra five Steps to all of their war-oriented Social Tests, at the cost of a two step penalty to any Diplomacy or related efforts. Nobody wants to mess with a Master Tier Tribal Warrior with Fearsome Reputation, but nobody will believe they might be friendly, either. Everything has a price.
