ED4 Talents and Progression
Re: ED4 Talents and Progression
In 3E it reduced the required result level for an armor defeating hit by one level on a successful test.
Earthdawn Developer and I have a gaming , though, let's face it, it is really an Earthdawn blog which also happens to have some reviews.

Re: ED4 Talents and Progression
Wow, thanks for bringing it back. I actually really like what is going on here with the Archer. Adding an initiative booster and putting weaving at 1st Circle are smart moves. I'm going to miss Flame Arrow early but with spot armor flaw being a booster I think it will work out. All in all good direction.
Now that you said Danger Zone all I can think of is Top Gun.

Re: ED4 Talents and Progression
It's funny how thread weaving gained at first circle isn't as hated as change in durability. But I am still hoping for optional rule that will treat it as another discipline talent (which as far as I know will make it into the game).

Re: ED4 Talents and Progression
Circle 1 Changes: Karma Ritual is no longer a talent. Avoid Blow and Throwing Weapons have changed places. Spend karma on Avoid Blow? Yes, please. Arrow Weaving moved here from 4th Circle, allowing for the adept to use threadweaving right out of the gate (huge fan of this by the way).
Circle 2 Changes: Durability is no longer a talent. Direction Arrow has been changed to Direction Sense.
Circle 3 Changes: None
Circle 4 Changes: Threadweaving has been moved to Circle 1. Impressive Shot (Old Circle 7) is now Impressive Display. I'm fine with this. Waiting until Circle 7 to show off was kind of anticlimactic, to say the least.
Initiate & Novice Tier Changes: These tiers have been combined. Avoid Blow and Throwing Weapons changed places. Awareness added as a talent. Creature Analysis moved here from old Journeyman tier. Detect Weapon has been removed. Flame Arrow has been moved to Circle 7. Long Shot and Sprint have been moved to Journeyman talents, which is probably a more appropriate place for them. Melee Weapons has been removed. Silent Walk is now Stealthy Stride.
Circle 5 Changes: Stopping Aim has been moved to Journeyman talents. Bank Shot has been moved from old Circle 6. I like this. Though I like Stopping Aim, as an Archer, doing trick shots is a much better requirement for advancement than freezing someone in their tracks.
Circle 6 Changes: Bank Shot moved to Circle 5. Spot Armor Flaw added.
Circle 7 Changes: Impressive Shot is now Impressive Display and moved to Circle 4. Flame Arrow moved here from Novice Tier.
Circle 8 Changes: None.
Journeyman Tier Changes: Conceal Object removed. Conversation added. Creature Analysis moved to Novice Tier. Danger Sense, Distract, and Etiquette added as talents. Long Shot and Sprint moved here from old Novice tier. Stopping Aim moved here from old Circle 5. Heartening Laugh, Lip Reading (Thank God), and Steel Thought removed. Tiger Spring added.

Re: ED4 Talents and Progression
Not any talent probably, but all talents from discipline options instead of limiting them to one/circle.
