"Leckyehwhat? You know what Timothy is?" A frown, and thought. "Well, if the problem is that thread, then we can just unravel it. I've woven my own back to him, the same as I've done with Andine, and it's a stronger one anyway."

"Can you unravel it?" I'll ask with slight concern in my voice. "...or does Timothy have to unravel it?" I'm still in the process of understanding that one of Torana's pet's had woven a thread to her. Then again, it was mentioned that Timothy was a name giver....

"I don't know. He can probably just drop it." I'll head over to Timothy and hold my hand out for him to climb on. "When he first wove the thread, it let me see through his eyes, and I can use it to gain Astral Sight. It's useful for seeing things where I can't go, and I don't have any other way to see astrally. I'll probably lose that if he drops the thread, but I could still use Borrow Sense. He wouldn't be able to spy for me as easily, but that's okay...I don't really like putting him in danger like that anyway. But the dreams...there was a war. Timothy, is something going on?"

"Lekech-ye-delu," Gudrun says to Torana, pronouncing it slowly and precisely. "Clever, cunning, and manipulative, as a race. Given their size, those are survival characteristics. The thread could be unraveled, but if your master does not wish it to be done, the effort would come down to a contest of wills between him and the magician."

Timothy scurries up Torana's arm and returns to his usual perch atop her head. He chitters a bit, which is only really audible to Torana, as the sounds he makes are very quiet.

"Well, hopefully he won't mind just dropping it." I'll frown at the little creature. "Lekech-ye-delu, I've never even heard of such a race, and from what I gather neither had most people who saw Timothy. Where do they come from? Have you dealt with them in the past, Gudrun?" I'll rub my chin thoughtfully, casting glances at Timothy as I speak.

Trying an Insect Communication to see if I can tell what he's muttering, as well as trying to pick up whatever I can sense through the threads. Got 20 on the roll. "You need to drop it if you can, Timothy. If it's going to keep making it harder and harder to be who I am, then it's dangerous to both of us. I can't exactly keep you safe if I can't use my Discipline right."

Timothy: "Well, it's about time you remembered you can do that. I've been trying to discuss this with you for a while now." He speaks very quickly, a flood of high-pitched annoyance. "Your thread is making things hard for me too. I'll drop my thread to you if you'll drop your thread to me. Don't know what we're going to do about your being half blind, but we'll anchor that corner when we weave to it."

"I can, but not very well usually...I wanted to meditate more on it before I tried again since it didn't go so well last time. The threads interfering both ways makes sense I guess...I'll miss the Astral Sight, but other people are better at that stuff than I am anyway. But you didn't answer about the strange war in the dream...Do you know anything about that? Or was it just some kind of side effect?"

I'll sit back, with Torana chittering to Timothy there's obviously some conversation going on that I'm not aware of. Nonetheless, I'll watch the two of them carefully. I can already see the lines of the thread with astral sight, so I'll try to keep my eye on it, speaking to Gudrun without turning away. "After this is dealt with I want to get underway as soon as possible...so we'll have to find Shaliko and Mekhitar."

Torana: There's a little bit of embarrassed silence from Timothy. "Um," he says finally. "I think you were seeing my dream." His tone suggests that he kind of doesn't want to talk about it.

Isaac: Gudrun nods, once. "I have a spirit watching them, and reporting back to me every quarter of a candlemark. At the last report, they were crossing the city, on their way to the docks on the far side."
