HINT #2: Ochirbat had the support of the Scravers Guild but couldn't bring the other four major guild houses around.

ANSWER (This is a bit complicated): I can't find any information that confirms that Ochirbat al-Malik did NOT become Regent in 4803, although he did certainly not get the 5 Merchant League votes. Although each individual Major Guild had the right to vote for their candidate, it is the Leaguemeister's privilege to decide for whom the 5 collected Merchant Guild votes is cast. Therefore, although the Scravers Guild voted for Ochirbat al-Malik, and the Engineers Guild voted for Gill Torenson, the Leaguemeister cast all 5 votes in the favour of Lizbet Hawkwood for whom the Charioteers, Reeves, and Musters guild had voted. This lead to resentment and infighting within the League.

If I am remembering correctly, it was on Sutek, towards the end of the Emperor Wars. The Muster won, it is implied that they were hired by the Hawkwoods in a couple of places, but the only definitive word is that it was the Muster. And they won it using Rocketeers. Yes?
