Brief Backstory:
-Thage was born in Throal into a people group (named the Mershani) who originated in the plains to the West (Town of Mershan)
-Thage has secretly fallen in love with the daughter of the head Mershani Elder, named Illandria
-Thage's peasant status prohibits him from claiming a courtship with Illandria
Mershani re-settlement
-Mershani People wish to leave Throal and resettle their lands
-The Elders wish to re-establish the custom of marrying Elder's children to the Elder children of the neighbouring ally town of Vershan.
-The Mershani elders wish to know the following before considering resettlement:
-Location of the standing stones of Mershan (15ft tall standing stones that stood around the well in town square)
-The location of the Kaer of Vershan (twin town who did not enter Throal)
-The status of the Kaer of Vershan
Twin Towns
-Before the Scourge, Mershan and Vershan were twin settlements who's leaders had a custom of inter-marrying to strengthen ties.
-Mershan inhabitants went to Throal for shelter during Scourge
-Vershan inhabitants built a hidden Kaer and have not been heard from since
-Illandria cannot marry Thage as she is currently awaiting:
-Potential Mershan re-settlement,
-Contact with Vershan Kaer
-Arranged marriage into Vershani Elder bloodline.
Ancient Hero
-Pre-Scourge there was a hero named Soren Stormblade who saved Mershan and Vershan from a foul beast of legend (dragon? horror? the legends are vague)
-It is said Soren Stormblade refused to enter the safety of the kaers and instead protected the remnants of society in the last days before the Scourge
-The Mershani have a tradition of maintaining a line of Adepts known as the "Stormblades" in Soren's honour
-Adepts take on the sir name of "Stormblade" upon successful initiation
-Once numerous, there now remains only 1 aged Adept among the Mershani
-He has passed on the tradition to Thage in hopes the tradition can survive the Scourge unto resettlement back in Mershan proper.
Thage's Goals:
-Investigate the flower he picked from the now scorched Field of Flowers (43.15)
-Find out what happened to the Flower Field Bee Colony
-Find a way to give the flower to Ilandria without incurring the wrath from her ever watching 4 older brothers
-Investigate why the location of homelands has been "forgotten/erased"
-Find site of original Mershani town (Once Elder Brahe and Bessil finish calculations)
-Find the Kaer of Vershan
-Find great treasure/wealth to increase status claim to court Elder's daughter Illandria
-Track down the potential Thread Items of Soren Stormblade and return them to Mershani Elders
-Train another worthy Mershani in the Discipline of the Stormblades
-Honour Maynbruje in all he does "A sword for Mynbruje, a Shield for Mershan!"
