Armor Penalties

I seem to remember that in older editions there was penalties related to armor and shield when swimming and trying to move silently but I cannot find anything about this in 4ED. Does anyone knows anything about that?

I house rule that initiate penalties affect swimming and climbing and stealth, but I don’t know if anything official.

I know the penaltie aplies for climbing.
Swimming I'm not sure, but I'd handle it the same way.
But I wouldn't apply this rule for stealth.
As long as you're slow enough, you can always ignore the sounds an heavy armor would make.

Personally, I rule that if you wear a chainmail, you swim like a brick. No roll needed.
