Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs
Perfect!
Thank you.
Thank you.
Re: Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs
New PDF versions of all three core books have been updated at the web shop and DriveThruRPG.
The Player's Guide & GM Guide both have the interior design updated to match the rest of the line with the textured background image. This required tweaking the interior art as well, since the original images didn't have transparent backgrounds and resulted in some unsightly white borders and stuff.
(But it turns out there's some subtle, but cool effects I was able to put in as a result. Let me know if you spot it!)
In addition, the file size on all three versions has been optimized so they are notably smaller, without any significant loss in quality.
As before, updates are available both through our web shop and DriveThru RPG.

Cool.
Have or will the errata updates be incorporated into a second printing of the hardcopies?

Re: Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs
Yes. We're going into a reprint of the GM Guide this month, so it will have the "second print" guts with the errata incorporated.
We aren't at the point of a reprint for the Player's Guide or Companion yet, but when we do they will get the same treatment.
The "Deluxe" editions from the recent Mystic Paths Kickstarter will all have the updated innards.

Players Guide p. 353.
Spell: Giant Size
Spell: Giant Size
I'm guessing this doesn't refer to all Damage test e.g. Spell Damage tests..?If successful, the target immediately grows 50 percent larger than his normal size, gaining a +4 bonus to Strength-only, Tough-ness-only, and Damage tests during the spell’s duration.

Re: Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs
i don't think there is strictly speaking any such thing as a spell damage test. there are effect tests, some of which are used to determine the amount of damage a spell deals, but not actual damage tests. i could be wrong though.

Yeah, it's a bit unclear (or not?)
Players Guide p. 379 states that:
Players Guide p. 379 states that:
Regardless of whether the attack is made with a weapon or a spell, the Damage test result determines the number of damage points inflicted on the target.

I didn't see it in the errata, but the karma points description for dragons appears to be wrong.
Under the karma description, it states:
Under the karma description, it states:
The value in parentheses is not the dragon's Karma Step but is the number of karma points it has. The value before the parentheses is the Karma Step. The value given in parentheses after the Karma power in the dragon’s description indicates the dragon’s Karma Step. The dragon has a pool of Karma Points equal to its Karma Step x 4, which it can spend on any test.

I was also wondering about the inconsistencies among creatures movement in the GMG.
Some creatures have (Swim X) others have (Swimming X) and some have (Climb X) while others have (Climbing X).
Was this a simple oversight or is there some reason for the distinction that I am missing?
