Brief Backstory:
Maksym’s family have served as legal advocates and advisors for the merchant houses of Throal for generations, dealing with the many disputes that inevitably resulted from the close quarters in the sealed city. Maksym was not bad at the family trade, but never progressed far either, as he simply could not properly embed himself within the structures of Throalic high society. The world of the underground city seemed so small and insignificant compared to the vast expanses outside. He took what opportunities he could to immerse himself in pre-scourge histories of Barsaive. He always considered himself a sensible person, and thus avoided legends of heroes and adventure in favor of the histories of nations, politics and law, even going so far as to seek out original Theran texts to gain what he considered to be a balanced perspective. With the doors open, and talents such as his in increasing demand, Maksym has high hopes for exploring, rediscovering and mapping the world that was lost.
