Brief Backstory:
Descendent of a clan of mountain trolls, many of whom followed the path of skyraider. As their kaer was nearing completion and the clans began to move in, they came under attack which damaged the kaer and meant that it could no longer support the whole population.
His ancestors immediately volunteered for exile and a long trek to throal in the hopes of making it to that kaer before it closed to wait out the scourge.
Between bandits, dangerous animals, horrors, and sheer exhaustion, only a quarter of the original number of his clan made it to throal. However they had saved others the fate they themselves suffered and wore it as a badge of pride.
All through the scourge they never lost their trollishness, even though as time wore on they became less wild, many straying from the skyraider path.
Only intermarrying with lowland trolls and others when necessary, the clans numbers dwindled, and less are capable of achieving full adept status.
Vlolkir ia the only one of his brothers and sisters with serious magical talent, and after becoming a sky witness on the opening of the kaer, felt the irresistable pull of the wild free world beyond the safety of walls and the great pitting of strengths and wills that represent life to a true troll.
He rapidly learned his first hard lessons from his derelict grandsire, the last in the family to follow the true discipline and manifest sufficient talent.
He now sets his eyes on great adventure and struggle far beyond the comfortable safety others seek, with the desire to pit himself against the monsters who would corrupt the world to wrest it in the name of the fellow peoples of barsaive.
