Water Elemental Spear and Extra Successes
Do extra successes with a spellcasting test affect the recovery test granted by a water spear (from the Elemental Spear spell)? The reason I ask is that in the description it is Wil+2, not Wil+4 like the other, and it is not affected by other recovery aids. So I know you can't combine heat food or a...

Re: Animal Training: What is and isn't one "Command". Also, what does it mean for a mount to be "Combat Trained".
From personal experience playing a Cavalryman, I talked to my fellow players and my GM about it (as I had the same questions). What we decide is that it more or less came down to not teaching specific set of tricks but an overall combat training (basically freeing up the tricks for animal training)....

Re: An Elementalist Cavalryman
I whole-heartedly agree that the personal visions for the disciplines should work together. In that first campaign I work with my GM to cultivate a personal vision of how the Cavalryman would work with the Elementalist. As a side note I came into Earthdawn with the release of the 4th edition. As suc...

An Elementalist Cavalryman
So I have an interesting idea for a character and I want some opinions and critiques, but I think this character would be fun to play. My first real Earthdawn adventure I played a Troll Cavalryman, and I loved it. Although it had it's limitations. When I was looking at potential mounts in the GMG I ...

Re: Heat Food
It is true that everyone makes a recovery test in the morning, but I have a feeling that the developers were thinking of Air Mattress as the bonus on morning recovery tests. I also believe the recovery test was intended to be made within the duration of Heat Food. Otherwise, Fireblood could get a +4...

Poison and Defanging
Quick question here. When the combat maneuver Defang is used to reduces the creature's poison step by 2, would this negative apply to the poison already applied to a player. For instance if a player was already poisoned by a Shadowmant at full strength (Step: 10, Type: Deadly, Interval: 10/1 round),...

Attacking to Knockdown Option
Hey all, This is my first post and I think I have a fairly simple question. If I have multiple attacks around (i.e., swift kick and melee weapons) and I declare the attacking to knockdown option, must I use it will all of my attacks or can I use it with a select few? For instance can I attack to kno...
