Booster potions are listed as "unusual", which is to say, mostly for regular sale only in larger towns and cities.
I think that a party that tried to increase it's purchases of booster potions by a factor of 10 or 15 would find that there were not enough to be had in any but the very largest of cities.
I absolutely agree. A sudden increase in demand would not instantly be followed by the same increase in offer. Thus the prices would increases.

Also, the logistic behind creating those potions would also mean they would mostly only be available (in large quantities) in big cities. Some of them would be brought by merchants selling gear in 'adventurers outposts' like Haven and Trosk and be resold with a large markup.

True, but supply and demand is also a thing; if they were not available aplenty, they would cost a lot more because the demand would certainly not go down.
I think there are some logic flaws there.

The law of supply and demand says that if demand increases, then price will increase, which will usually eventually cause supply to increase until a new equilibrium is reached.

It just can't be used to argue that just because demand has an inelastic floor and prices are at an equilibrium, then an increase of demand would not cause a supply shortage. The opposite in fact.

From a practical standpoint:
  • Booster potions are listed as "unusual", which is to say, mostly for regular sale only in larger towns and cities.
I think that a party that tried to increase it's purchases of booster potions by a factor of 10 or 15 would find that there were not enough to be had in any but the very largest of cities.

Cost notwithstanding, all items are "subject to Availability." :D

Depends on how GM's view an unconscious person's ability to swallow. It's typically viewed as "poor" at best. However, the Recovery test made through last chance salves benefits from a booster potion. If you can feed things to someone in that condition, then they benefit from a booster potion.
