Seeking some feedback on a possible ED4 change

Changing the order of play every round doesn't really add to gameplay, but I have looked at what is involved in eliminating initiative rolls and decided it was too much work.

Another option might be to treat Wound Balance as a last minute test like avoid blow.

I'm afraid that if knockdown is only an option, then it just won't come up much any more. I like the possibility of wound + knockdown. The more factors that let the winner win quickly the better.

At our table, we roll Initiative only once at the beginning of combat and keep the order in each round. Characters with Initiative boosting talents only have to pay strain, karma, ... once; unless they want to take advantage of secondary effects like with Airdance. This makes these talents much more powerfull, though. But I don't argue with our GM about that.
