A topic we have been discussing recently in our game is why reserve an action?
It states a reserved action happens just before the opponent acts dependant on your trigger event. A delayed action happens at the same time and as it also states that tied initiative allows the player to resolve 1st, Out side of swooping attacks why do that?

Re: Reserved Dealy Actions
Player: "I reserve an action to perform a shield bash attack to knock down an enemy that tries to attack our severely wounded Wizard."
Gm: "Okay."
--Several actions later--
GM: "The Cadaver Man starts to attack the Wizard. You get your reserved action before he does."
Player: *rolls dice* "The Knockdown Difficulty is 18."
GM: "The Cadaver Man gets a Pathetic Result on his Strength Only Test. He is knocked down and pushed away two hexes and cannot attack the Wizard."
That's why you might want to reserve an action rather than just delay. Also, certain Talents have additional effects if you Reserve an action (Anticipate Blow, frex).
