I predict this is just the quiet before the storm

::chuckles:: so the conversation between Svana and Sir Joseph, just became a conversation between Svana, Sir Joseph and Sir Robert...
Sir Joseph pitches his idea to Sir Robert. Svana just is sort of quiet about the whole thing. which Sir Robert observes is , " like a volcano that is merely steaming instead of erupting". Surprisingly enough Sir Robert's against the whole idea of Sir Joseph claiming Svana and Robert's child is his. Even though logically the plan would save Sir Robert, from some political backlash, he's not even willing to consider it. That actually really surprised me as a player, as Sir Robert is usually only looking out for his own interests, and I was banking on him trying to convince Svana to go along with the plan.
Svana pointed out that while the plan was very logical, that she was no good at pretending (which is VERY true), and would likely inadvertently give the whole thing away. Not to mention having to deal some pesky emotions she really doesn't want to deal with.
Sir Joseph takes the rejection pretty well, and lets them both know the offer is still open if they change their mind. Let's just say, he's a pretty stand up guy...for a Decados....or well...former Decados.

Re: Jé talks about the current FS campaign she's in...Woot!
So last night was the truffle auction. We spent most of the night plotting how we were going to sell the truffles, we had 4 weeks, and each round was half a week. So we basically each got two actions a week to do things. Here's what people did:
Week 1
Babette and Drake- took samples of truffle around to the local gourmet restaurants to entice people to come to the auction
Galen- tried to write a jingle to put out through the local media...he had writers block that week
Drucilla and Sir Robert- schmoozed with nobles giving them info on the auction
Svana- went all underworldy and tried to find people who were plotting to spoil the auction, and intimidated them into backing off
Sir Joseph- worked on fixing the Coranado's computer system
Week 2
Babette and Drake- I can't remember what they did.
Galen- Finished his truffle jingle, which goes to the tune of the Beverly Hillbilly's theme song
Sir Robert and Svana- Sir Robert took Svana on a date....on some sort of air skimmer (which prompted the guy next to me to sing "A Whole New World" from Aladdin, and I instinctively elbowed him, because I hate that move and in particular that song...)
Drucilla- I have no idea what Drucilla was doing.
Sir Joseph- went to the local university to look for information on a programming language called "Cuneiform"
Intermission
In between week 2 and 3, the group is pulled into a meeting with Salandra Decados , where she proceeds to interrogate Sir Robert on when the wedding between he and Drucilla is going to be. She also tells him how proud she is of his "progress" and how she appreciates how he uses his "underlings" with no regard to their feelings. She also ended using Psi on Svana, to pull out the resentment and anger she feels towards Sir Robert for things he's done and said, and Svana ends up punching him in the face. Babette ends up offering some of the truffles to the Duchess and convinces her to spread the word about how great they are.
To be continued

(continued)
Week 3
Babette and Drake- take a week off for some....bonding time.
Galen- pimps out his jingle to anyplace that will take it
Sir Robert and Drucilla- go to stir up some rivalries in hopes of causing a bidding war between certain nobles
Svana- basically spends a week hiding out
Sir Joseph- works on the Coranado's computer system
Week 4
Babette and Drake- go to stir up some rumors about an alleged truffle shortage
Galen- pimps out his jingle to anyplace that will take it
Sir Robert and Drucilla- go furniture shopping
Svana- acts as Sir Joseph's gopher
Sir Joseph- works on the Coranado's computer system and gets it fixed
While we got a lot of successes on our roles for pre-auction shennanigans the role for the auction was HORRIBLE. We ended up getting MUCH less than fair market value for them. Oh well.
After the auction it's decided that the Coranado will be repaired to 50% of it's full functionality, this cost about 35,000 firebirds, which the party had on hand, but it began running our funds VERY low. So the group decided in order to make a little extra cash they'd buy a cargo of rare hardwoods and take them to Criticorum (where we were already going to visit Galen's wife Octavia). Also, the group decides to have Svana go do some moderate stakes gambling, she ended up netting the group 1,200 firebirds in three attempts, and decided to walk away from the table. Unlike Drake, she doesn't have the greedy flaw, and knows when to stop. The group also takes on a noble passanger.
The group leaves for Criticorum where it nets 9,000 firebirds for it's shipment of hardwoods, so they decide to purchase some gemstones in Criticorum to take to their next stop Byzantium Secondus. Also, Galen's wife joins the group...thank gods because they are going to need someone with fiscal management skills to keep this money pit running.
It doesn't take long for Octavia to get into it with Drucilla and Svana, which basically ends the evening with Sir Joseph going off to drink with Drucilla, and for Svana to drag Sir Robert off to "work off some aggression" before she has to kill someone.

More between game foolishness....
Because I have the week off work and no classes, I am horribly bored. So I've started some new RPs.
Svana and Charlie- Svana tries talking with Sir Joseph's slightly warped think machine advisor
Svana and Sir Robert- This conversation after two posts has already gone significantly down hill, again due to Sir Robert being an insensitive JERK
Svana and Octavia- Svana's basically reading Octavia the riot act for trashtalking and hitting Drucilla. Oh and making a snarky comment about her relationship with Sir Robert.
