Was it the way how it should works in general? I ask because we usually play more "physical" characters than social ones and have a plan of becoming Troubadour one time so social talents became more interesting for me last time.

Dominate Beast
Yesterday, our GM gave us new characters to play in order to make some flashbacks that fulfill the story. I got the 7th Circle Beastmaster and during one scene one Wyvern tried to attack our camp. Warrior and Wizard started to prepare their weapons and spells but I said: "Hold on, guys" and made use of Dominate Beast talent. GM said that Talent Test was successful and asked me what order I want to make for Wyvern... For me it was simple, "Go home" and Wyvern did. And we gave high-fives to each other

Re: Dominate Beast
if the wyvern is a beast (and it should be) the use was correct.
I have a couple of beastmasters in 2 different campaigns, and they love when i attack them with creatures..
it's a show-off

Re: Dominate Beast
The only catch is, "home" needs to be within the character's Dominate Beast rank in minutes, or it won't work. Also, nothing would stop it from coming back if it wanted.

Re: Dominate Beast
yeah, right, but "go away" works fine
if the wyvern comes back (and it's always possible) you can send her away again
rinse repeat
she will tire before you will

Re: Dominate Beast
Well, there's also the "natural creature" restriction the Gm can bring to bear... ;D
Best kaer anywhere.

Re: Dominate Beast
IIRC, it works against any "non-sentient" creature.

Re: Dominate Beast
My book says it only works on non-sentient natural creatures. I personally would not let it affect a wyvern . Your GM made a fine call though.
