There seem to be several discrepancies with reference to spell duration (particularly of secondary effects).

If a spell is cast on Round 1, when does it's effect with Duration of 2 Rounds expire? At the start or end of Round 3? At the initiative it was cast? At the casters initiative?

End of the round. It should specify the timing in the spell.
Earthdawn Developer and I have a gaming , though, let's face it, it is really an Earthdawn blog which also happens to have some reviews.

The spell true switch lists extra successes as increased duration of 2 minutes just like the Switch spell. I understand the increased duration on Switch as this is an illusion that swaps appearances and lasts for a duration, but not on True Switch as this spell actually swaps the target and the caster. You can also weave extra threads to the duration. Does this mean you actually swap back at the end of the duration or is this a misprint and the extra successes should go to something else like range?

Is the fact that the default karma die is a d6 ever declared?

Only place I found was on page 112 of karma bonuses talking about boosts to Karma from d6 to d8 at higher circles.

I'd like to say I'm really enjoying 4th Edition and looking forward to trying it out with a group.

In previous editions of Earthdawn, even if there was a Legend Cost associated with learning a Spell, characters got a certain number of them "free" when they Circled. The book should make it explicit whether this is still the case or not on pp. 90-92. This was another topic that I was expecting in one chapter but could have been in another. The question about Karma Dice reminded me of it.
