Ok, what about spell Improve Karma? Was it moved onto higher circles? It is very powerfull. Especially when made permanent.

And I will use attention to ask about casting Improve Karma on Weaponsmith for him to use Item History. Is it allowed, or the spell duration must as long as talent?

Ok, do back to the topic.

Word about skills.
Artisan skills.
In my opinion every artisian skill that focus on crafting piece of art should have the effect of the Artist skill without need for separate skill or at least Artist should incorporate Rank bonus from the Artisian Skill character use. Same mechanic could be used for artisian skills that focus on performing for the Entertainer skills.
Same with Forgery. Why not use this skill to provide Rank bonus to Artisian skill test made to forge others?
With current mechanic of Forgery you can be crappy painter but create a masterpeace with high forgery skill.

Artisan
This is a template for artisan skills which divide into two categories: Crafting and Performing. Example skills for both categories can be found in table on the left.
For crafting skill make test of skill and note the number. Then compare this number to Social Defense of anyone looking at piece of work. Number of successes determine level of appreciation of piece.
For performance skill make test against highest social defense number in the audience. Number of successes determines how many onlookers liked performance (1 -25% 2-50% etc.)
You can use artisan skill in ritual of greeting to prove yourself free from horror mark by making artisan (5) test.

I think that changes I proposed fit to 4th ED goal which in my opinions is reducing LP sinks and make choices matter.

General skills
Why not combine Sailing, Air Sailing and Pilot Boat into one ability Pilot Boat with specialties for each type of ship [Sailships, Airships, Riverboats]. It could save some space and way they work is pretty much the same.

Talent Knacks. IIRC they were going to be deferred to the GM's guide (or potentially dropped). I have seen them mentioned in the rules (for example the 'Show Armor Flaw knack' is mentioned in the description of spot armor flaw. However I haven't seen that talent knacks have ever been defined. If they are going to be present in 4th edition at some point consider adding a definition in the players guide of what a talent knack is so they don't confuse players new to 4th edition.

Refering to 1st Circle Ability (sight-based Perception tests): can Archers add extra Karma to Awareness, Mystic Aim, Anticipate Blow, Danger Sense, Navigation, Wilderness Survival, Alchemy skill? Clarification needed here as sentence as written is extremely unclear and people will be ask after releasing of the book so why don't add clarification in the book?

I read somewhere that Karma can be used with ANY talent learned (even via Versatility or possessing Magical Items) not only with Discipline talents. Is it true? If yes, why so big change?

How much time we got before you close receiving proof notes? Can someone anwser my post about Artisan, Forgery and Pilot Boat? I know they have many mistakes, because I was in a hurry, but general idea stays the same.
