Do you have an idea for a general aesthetic for the book? Are we going to be looking at all computer-generated gears and textures everywhere, tightly rendered technical and historical drawings, spunky inks and pencils? Photoshopped photographs of cosplay? Homogenous 'painterly' computer colored fantasy wankery ala pathfinder? Art is what got me into Earthdawn back in the last century, so I gotta know.

Part of what we're looking at is Punch from the late 1800s. Expect to see ornamentation in the chapter headers, at the top of the page, and so forth. We're using an older font as well. As far as the artwork, it's going to be mostly hand drawn. Don't expect to see CGI gears and photoshopped cosplay pics. Expect to see crisp line art and profusely ornamented illos done in period style. The Bestiary illos are going for a field-notebook look, with the inking done with a brush. Here's an example piece, one of the giant fleas that ate New Wigan.
