I won't be doing any reading at the bath house but if there's room enough for all then I'll take my bath at the same time as everyone else.

As for food, I'm similarly indifferent and won't cast a vote one way or the other, though my body language might indicate to observers that I would lean towards staying at the inn. It would allow be to get back to reading quickly after dinner, as well as that I just feel like we're in the middle of something and food should be treated as a necessity rather than a luxury.

Still, if the majority want to eat out I'll acquiesce. You never know, it might be good for morale.

Between the votes and the abstentions, you end up at a trisnari one island over from the Breaching Sunfish, just across a bridge and down a walkway a little bit, a place called D'janduin Shustal, which loosely translated means "It's hot, okay?" The food there is intense - kind of Cajun, kind of Szechuan, freshwater fish and shellfish with vegetables and seriously spiced. Garsevan pays for a couple of bottles of vinlo to wash it down. Shaliko plows through his meal with almost mechanical determination, more refueling than enjoying his dinner. Kolbeinn manages reasonably well, although the heat seems to get to him, as his eyes are watering before the halfway point in the meal. He doesn't speak a word of t'skrang, as you had thought, Torana, and his Throalic is still very sketchy. Garsevan eats with gusto, and offers a couple of toasts, one to T'Mor, and one to the success of the mission. Isaac, pay 4 silver for your dinner. Torana, you owe 8 silver for yourself and Andine, who's served a bowl of raw fish and seems happy with it.

Afterwards, you retire to the Breaching Sunfish. Whatever plans you had for the evening are quickly forgotten, as the length of the day and the bath and the dinner all conspire to send you off to sleep, will you or no.

The next morning, after you've each gone through your usual morning routine, your group assembles at a table in the inn's common room for breakfast. "We're supposed to be at the docks this morning to meet Gudrun's ship," Shaliko reminds everybody.

I'm going to spend a little extra time with the ice flyers in the morning, so I'll be a little late coming down for breakfast, but still present. The difficulties with everything are...disturbing to say the least. At least I slept alright this time. "And after that, we find another ship to go the rest of the way. And then resupply."

I'll just nod quietly at both suggestions while I finish up my breakfast. "Let's go and meet Gudrun then. Hopefully she hasn't been delayed. As for picking up supplies...I haven't been to this city before so defer to any of you who have for the location of the best place to buy them.". Pushing my plate to one side I'll stand up. "We'll need some time to brief Gudrun on what we know already, perhaps she might have something to add." I'll glance from one of my companions to the other. "So we can go as soon as your ready."

"Best place to buy supplies is over on the north side," Garsevan says. "South side is where the non-t'skrang ships dock. North side is V'strimon only. Better prices up there, especially if you can drop a Name or two."

So the lot of you head out to the south docks to meet Gudrun's ship. You haven't been given the Name of the ship, but there won't be that many arriving at the south docks, and Gudrun should be really hard to miss. As you're strolling down the south dockside, though, having passed by the first ship arriving since it had no passengers, and heading for an open slip where a second ship is just tying off, your attention is drawn by music. Perched atop one of the pilings is an elven man in brightly colored and fancy clothing, a patchwork cloak draped around his shoulders, playing a lute-like instrument of somewhat peculiar design. The strings seem a bit slack and more easily manipulated, there's only four of them, the neck is longer and the body smaller and more rounded. He's picking through a complicated piece that involves a lot of key signature changes. He seems to realize that he's got an audience, glances up, and grins. WIth a quick strum, he resolves the current melodic line and bounds off the piling. "Torana! Fancy meeting you here! And you've got new friends! Are these new members of the Vanguard, or are you traveling with a different team nowadays?"

I'm positive I should know this person...at least, I feel like I should. And he more or less confirms it...but then again, I'm not exactly an unknown...lots of troubadours could probably recognize me. Hm. "Hello! No, not the Vanguard. We're sort of out on a little expedition of our own while Vannin and the Bearers are...busy elsewhere."

Taking note of Torana's confusion I quickly step in, taking a couple of literal steps forward and glancing from Torana to the elf. "Pardon me, ser elf. You seem acquainted with Torana but this is likely the first time we've met. I'm Isaac Himnerith, and Torana is doing me the honour of accompanying me for the timebeing. Perhaps I might have your name?" I'll speak just loudly enough so that he can hear me where he is standing, though others at a distance might not, and tip my hat to him as I give my name before folding my arms.

Garsevan, Shaliko, and Kolbeinn do not appear to recognize the man. Shaliko has a throwing knife in his hand, but hasn't raised it yet. The other two look wary, but aren't taking defensive action yet.

The man sweeps an elegant bow. "Mekhitar the Magnificent, Troubadour of the Tenth Circle, at your service." He gives Torana a mock-sorrowful look, and continues on with a lot of hand gestures. Yes, he's a bit swishy. "It's okay, Torana, I'm not too terribly hurt by your not recognizing me. I wasn't quite myself the last time we saw each other. Say, you wouldn't happen to know what became of my whistle, would you? I'd really like to get that back."

"...Of course I wouldn't recognize you. When I saw you, you had Leliel's face...and the rest of him. Not that it isn't nice to see you again, but...how are you here...?" The last I remember seeing or hearing of him was in Death's realm...and we brought Leliel home, not Mekhitar...so this is rather perplexing to say the least. "And no, I'm sorry, I don't really know what happened to it. Maybe someone else in the Promised Land could tell you...I don't remember, if I ever knew."

Sensing a story behind this I will step back, allowing Torana to come to the fore. I'll cast a sidelong glance at the others as Torana speaks with him, still wary of the oddly dressed elf - especially since Torana said that he once wore someone else's face.
