Re: Czlaplon Quest
"Chorrolis...? No...I'm more of a mix between Jaspree and Garlen...which actually might be rather useful for your gargoyle problem. I know she needs family, and I know nature in general. Might be better for both of you if I take her off of your hands, huh?"

Re: Czlaplon Quest
I'll nod quietly - it's all true, but since I haven't been to the Floating City before I don't know where those places are. I'll have to ask around later and make myself a schedule. Checking the libraries for any information on that type of horror is a good idea but as for the captains and their logs...I'd need to know which merchants had been to that region for it to yield any information. The bars and bookshops are probably going to be quite useful though. Some detective work for the 'morrow perhaps. Right now though I'll just go and do that karma ritual. "Alright, Garsevan. You seem rather busy so I won't trouble you further....and thanks."

Re: Czlaplon Quest
Isaac: Doing a karma ritual takes a half a candlemark. That leaves you with only a short time before the Sunfish's staff starts setting up the common room for the evening meal. Anything particular you want to fill that time with?
Torana: "Might be," the beast seller agrees, "but not for less than eight hundred silver."

Re: Czlaplon Quest
Since I don't have much in the way of reading materials I'll go down to the common room early and see about getting myself a drink - just some water perhaps. I'll sit and drink it quietly until dinner actually starts.
(Could someone remind me how much karma I get from doing a karma ritual, a serious amount of time has passed since I last did one.)

Re: Czlaplon Quest
(OOC: Reminder: You get karma points equal to your Rank in karma ritual. Costs you ten LPs per karma point. From the PC:
The Karma Ritual talent allows an adept to replenish his pool of Karma Points. All Disciplines have their own unique Karma rituals. An example is included with the description for each Discipline (see the individual Disciplines chapters). The ritual takes 30 minutes to complete and can only be performed once each day. Once the adept has completed his Karma ritual, he can purchase a number of Karma Points equal to his Karma Ritual rank by paying a number of Legend Points equal to the number of Karma Points purchased × 10. For example, an adept purchasing 4 Karma Points has to pay 40 Legend Points. These Karma Points are added to the adept’s Current Karma Point total. An adept cannot have more Karma Points than his Maximum Karma Points total allows (see Karma in the Creating Characters chapter on p.47 for more information).

Re: Czlaplon Quest
Isaac: After your karma ritual, you are given a note by one of the inn staff. Apparently Torana has realized she has larger problems, after being addressed as the Beastmastered, and is seeking counsel with others of her Discipline. She will catch up to you later on.
As you arrive at the dinner table, Mekhitar looks you over quickly, and asks, "Is that your best clothing, or just your travel togs?"

Re: Czlaplon Quest
I'll glance at Mekhitar with a raised eyebrow. "My travelling clothes." I'll say simply, followed by. "Why?" Not that I actually have any other clothes with me, it just wasn't that important.

Re: Czlaplon Quest
Mekhitar waves a hand languidly in front of his face as if dismissing a bad smell. "Oh, this will simply not do. In the morning, we" -- the hand flips palm up and includes everybody in your party -- "are taking you" -- the hand flips back over, index finger pointed at you -- "shopping."
"Troubadour's right," Garsevan agrees. Mekhitar glances sideways at him, apparently a little surprised. "You need more flash."

Re: Czlaplon Quest
I'll sit down and get something to drink, nothing much, just some water. After a moment's pause and some faux consideration, I'll glance up at the two of them from my seated position. "No, thank you." With the polite remark I'll go back to my drink, not feeling the need to explain any further.

Re: Czlaplon Quest
Mekhitar's fists land on his hips. "Honey, if you think even for one breath that you are going to go slopping around in front of the paying public in those rags and cause even the slightest problem with the arrangements that I have put myself out in front of everyone to make," a quick breath, and a threatening index finger pointed, "you are going to be swimming up the river because I guarantee there won't be so much as a canoe willing to carry your dingy backside." A snap of the fingers in your general direction. "Now you will take Uncle Mekhitar's advice on your wardrobe and you will like it, or you will be the one to explain to the captain of the most fabulous showboat on the Serpent River why the act that he booked won't be going on after all." And he turns and goes right out the door before you can draw breath to reply.
"I do believe you've upset the Troubadour," Garsevan says dryly.
