Character age

Postby Holz » Sat Apr 14, 2012 7:58 pm

In my campaign one of my friends wants to have an Eskatonic to be older of age, between his 45-50 years.
I thought of no problem, since a Tour of Duty may last months or years...

What are your experiences with older characters?
To hell with information, ammunition is ammunition.

If brute for ain't working you ain't using enough.

In my campaigns, older folks have worked very well for color and roleplaying potential, and there were never any problems with aging characters. I have had a couple of campaigns revolving around very young people, and in such settings old-timers won't fit well, but otherwise I find they work well. In fact, I find that old or very young characters are much more interesting than adult ones :)
