In my campaign one of my friends wants to have an Eskatonic to be older of age, between his 45-50 years.
I thought of no problem, since a Tour of Duty may last months or years...
What are your experiences with older characters?

Re: Character age
In my campaigns, older folks have worked very well for color and roleplaying potential, and there were never any problems with aging characters. I have had a couple of campaigns revolving around very young people, and in such settings old-timers won't fit well, but otherwise I find they work well. In fact, I find that old or very young characters are much more interesting than adult ones
