I was always amuzed how cool the "newtonian" space of FS worked.
But when I started to run the numbers on Au and speed % that ships went, it didn´t work the math.
So I made this table wirh a gate distance of 35 to 50 AU and a ship speed of 1% to 8% (very very fast ships).
Hope it is accurate and helpful!

Hm... my calculations confirm the core book numbers. Perhaps I'm doing it wrongly?
In any case, you need to expand the table. The Holy Terra Space jumpgate sits at 62,5 AU, and apparently the average distance between main world and jumpgate is 69 AU. I would suggest you expand the table from 1AU to 75 or more AU, possibly using several rows.
In all, I think this is another nice resource that many GMs will find useful!

Oh wait... really?
Ops... my bad. I´ll expand the table and post a new one!
Thanks for keeping me up Angelman!

Sounds good

I don't know if the average 69 AU thing is accurate, but it is listed as such in the the space distances tables in various rulebooks. However, seeing that several planetary systems have much shorter distances between main planet and jumpgate, and I cannot remember any systems having extremely long distances between planet and jumpgate, I suspect that the 'average' is in fact not strictly speaking true.
In any case, a distance table should make life easier for many game groups

I believe we can't make a "fixed" distance, since the whole universe is moving.
But the average of 69~70 AU is the norm on most books, especially the Imperial Suerveys.
I am finishing the new table. Once I finish it, I´ll replace the old for the new.

The table is updated!
Goes up to 100 AU (I don´t want to go THAT far).
Feedback is always welcome!

Bear in mind some systems mention objects beyond their gates, a ship could possibly need to travel that far.
