Biography

Thanks angelman:)..wanted to see what made her the number one pirate in the known worlds but not sure i see it..seems shes just a lost eskatonic searching for something....btw a little side question?...what happended to carmethea decados?..i assume she was executed but is there any mention of her after?..the only one i could find was the mention of her fief being handed over to brother battle..

That is indeed a very good question. I cannot remember having read anything about her fate, so perhaps she died in the attack on Criticorum? (What's the source for the Brother Battle taking over Carmetha's fief?)

I think she is probably still alive. None of the canonical texts hint at that she died (at least none that I can find), even though the death of most of her troops is stressed. Since she was a high-ranking noble, she was probably released in exchange for other prisoners if she was captured, or she might simply have escaped or bought her release. I cannot see any particular reason why someone would have Countess Carmetha executed (excecuting a countess is a big deal), and I am not even certain that her actions were illegal (if they were, why then did the Stigmata Garrison follow her orders?). Countess Carmetha probably fell from grace having failed to take Criticorum, and she might have been stripped of rank. Still, a far more interesting prospect (IMHO) is that the silence of the FS canon on the matter reflects her whereabouts and fate being a secret. Perhaps Prince Hyram has a plan for her? Carmetha is obviously a very competent woman, having been awarded with the post of Commander of the Stigmata Garrison in the first place (probably by the Li Halan Regent Samitra), and then leading the garrison off-world to attack Criticorum in an invasion that very nearly succeeded. Hyram probably keeps her safe somewhere to put her to good use when the oportunity arise.

Hmmm not sure prince hyram would reward faliure but it is strange that she dissapered from history...yeah the regency is no more but i would think brother battle and alot of others would want her dead(al-malik,the garrison left behind,decados for failing,maybe even the church?)she will never hold any position of power again...

Oh, Prince Hyram would never reward failure, but neither would he discard talent. I think he might find use for her somewhere.

iirc she was in a lot of fan made stuff. There was a free download adventure on the HDI website a long, long time ago that featured her base in the Rampart system, and a husk outbreak. It was a very good adventure, as I recall. But that might be because of my group and their reactions to the adventure.

I think it's mentioned in Lord of the Known Worlds under Criticorum.
