1- the Great Leap Talent example is wrong.
(I suspect a lot of troubles and dozen of errata to come because of the change from hexes to yards...)
2- the Great Leap Skill has an issue : this is not a default skill so if you don't have a rank in it you cannot jump. That doesn't make sense unless characters are supposed to be aliens unable to jump without magic.

is wrong too because the test result is only 10.

Great Leap (Skill) should also have its vertical component reduced, I think. I know the Skill is measured in feet (as opposed to the yards of the Talent) but the current Olympic world record is only some 30 feet (10 yards) for the long jump and only a smidge over 8 feet (less than 3 yards) for the high jump. And in both cases, the athlete started off with a run.
As an example, dwarves have a listed Movement Rate of 10. The thought of a dwarf, from a standstill, leaping 10 feet straight up into the air is silly (without the use of magic). And with the Running option, he could double this. Even without it, he's easily beaten the World Record. And were he an elf, that leap could go straight up 14 feet!
Unless I am reading something horribly incorrectly....
