What is your favorite thing about ED:SW?

The characters seem to come out with an Earthdawn feel, but also feel unique from Earthdawn 3e characters.

I love how the Adept Edges work.

I love the size of the book, the retro-look and the font size.

I really can't wait to see how NPCs end up differing from Core (in stat look)... and what metaplot differences do happen.

This actually has me wanting to play a game of SW. Before this, only Hellfrost and Interface Zero ever made me interested. Next up though is Pathfinder, which is a system I have a tad bit more knowledge about, and that has me even more excited.

I think it allows for more 'rounded' characters by having the 'mundane' abilities being skills and normal SW edges, and the things that make a discipline iconic becoming Adept Edges.

Want an Elementalist who can actually use his Earth Staff with some ability? Great! Just take some raises in the Fighting Skill.

Want a scout that can dual wield? Great! Just take the two-fisted edge.

If your warrior gets hit with a spell and fails his Spirit spell to resist? You at least can use a normal SW Benny to re-roll.

I love my EDSW gaming books.

My favorite thing is being able to play and run an Earthdawn game with a simpler rules system. While I love the main Earthdawn rules system it is nice to have my favorite world in a system that is quite popular and has a lot of material out there for it. Want to see how a WW2 sniper would fare in ED. Yup! We can do that.

I do hope it gets some more love as I am still running my game.
