This has been very confusing since ED3.
When a creature has "Claws X2" (X4 in the case of adult prisma) in its attacks, does it take 1 standard action to make 2 claw attacks, or does does it take 1 standard actions for each attack? Or, does it make one attack test and two damage tests? If it takes only 1 standard action to do both attacks, does that mean a creature with "Actions: 2" (they all have) can make 4 claw attacks? In the case of the adult prisma, it would make 8 claw attacks. And if it cost a standard action for each attack, why bother by marking it with X2? It is already stated in the rule under "Multiple actions".
I hope now that you're all as confused as I am.

Re: Creatures and Claws X2
In the case of something like "claw x2" each claw attack would take a standard action, the multiplier just indicates the maximum number of attacks of that type the creature can make.
I ma pretty sure that in ED4 only creatures with multiple actions will have a "x2" or similar note. They might have multiple attack types (bite, claw, thrown rock, etc), but can only use one with each action.

Re: Creatures and Claws X2
Ok, then there's probably an error with the adult prisma. It has 2 Actions, but up to 4 Claw attacks.
Thanks for the clarification.
