I was wondering how you guys would go about to emulate the 3rd edition's mapmaker troubadour specialisation into 4th edition. The matter seems easy enough (mostly pushing around talents), but since the troubadour's talents have seen some shifting around, I thought I'd ask for feedback nonetheless. So here it goes:
a) Exchange mimic voice for Navigation
Problem: Mimic voice now a journeyman option
Solution: Exchange the new freebie Entertainer versus Navigation
b) Exchange Impress (a discipline talent) and Read/Write Language (normally an option)
Problem: Both are now optional
Possible solution: Exchange emotion song/heartening laugh instead (which one would you prefer? I'd opt for emotion song, as the mapmaker is less centered around instruments)
c) Exchange positions of Research and Disguise Self, Research becoming the second circle discipline talent, Disguise Self a journeyman talent option
Problem: Disguise Self is now a journeyman talent option by default, research the fourth circle talent instead of a journeyman option
Solution: Possibly move Research to second circle (from fourth) to further emphasize the focus of the mapmaker, push Empathic Sense and Etiquette up one circle to compensate
In short: Mapmaker gets Navigation instead of Entertainer as free talent, Emotion Song chances place with Read/Write Language, and instead of Etiquette - Empathic Sense - Research, the new order would be Research - Etiquette - Empathic Sense.
What do you think?

Re: 4th Edition Mapmaker specialisation
I don't see anything wrong with it.
