Have you been looking at my design documents...? >_<
For the record:
Enter Sandman is an Illusionist spell which invades and manipulates dreams
Fade to Black is a Nethermancer spell which merges the target with their shadow and allows them to interact with other character's shadows.
Master of Puppets is a Nethermancer spell which is effectively mass Control Being.
Pre-art draft feedback

Re: Pre-art draft feedback
Quick note on the Astral Sense spell. The question about it being available at C1, when the talent is at C2 has come up a number of times.
We've decided that, like many other spells that provide a bonus to or expanded use of a talent, Astral Sense will allow the magician to use his default Perception for Astral Sight tests. This means it will have some use to a C1 Wizard that might want to take it, it just doesn't come into its own until they pick up Astral Sight at Second Circle.

Re: Pre-art draft feedback
Prior editions had Astral Sense and Astral Sight as two different ways to view astral space. Astral Sense used WIL+6 as the astral sensing test, whereas Astral Sight used PER+Rank. They had a couple of other differences as well. Windling Astral-Sensitive Sight was cut in ED3 and replaced with a racial version of the talent.
With our efforts to cut back on the number of spells that could replace talents (or vice-versa), it made sense to simplify astral sensing by having the Astral Sense spell enhance the way that Astral Sight was used (using the same kind of design goal with a number of other spells as well).

Re: Pre-art draft feedback
There doesn't seem to be any Size 7 weapons in any of the Goods and Services tables. The 4e Weapon Size Restriction Table shows Trolls and Obsidimen are still able to use Size 7 weapons two-handed, so I'm assuming weapons like the raid spear and stonemaul will be re-introduced in later books? Would that be right?

Re: Pre-art draft feedback
Unless this has already been addressed, I think the wording of this is weird. Part of the text seems duplicated for no reason.
Waterfall Slam
Step: Rank Action: Free
Strain: 1 Skill Use: No
The adept powers his blows with the elemental power of water, overwhelming
his target with the force of rushing waves. When the adept causes a Wound in close
combat, the target must make a Knockdown test, even if the damage caused would
not normally trigger the test. The adept’s Waterfall Slam rank is added to the Difficulty
Number for any attacks that cause the target to make a Knockdown test. In addition,
any attack that causes a Wound requires the target make a Knockdown test, even
if the damage dealt would not otherwise trigger it.
Also the wording of the text in between the red sentences is a little confusing. It reads like the Waterfall is added to the DN of the attack. I think it sounds better like this "The adept powers his blows with the elemental power of water, overwhelming his target with the force of rushing waves. When the adept causes a Wound in close combat, the target must make a Knockdown test, even if the damage caused would not normally trigger the test. The adept's Waterfall Slam rank is added to the Difficulty Number of any Knockdown test."

That one has already been tagged for correction.

Re: Pre-art draft feedback
I've noticed the information about the lifespan of trolls has been removed from the their description in the Namegiver Races chapter of the new book. It's listed for all the other races but not trolls. Would it be possible to put that back in? And also the description on when Orks reach physical maturity.
I know these are little things, but I find it handy as a GM and new players might not be aware that the veteran 40yo Troll Skyraider they're making is considered old by the rest of his clan

Re: Pre-art draft feedback
The troll age thing has also been noted and has been fixed.
