No, there are two modifications to knockdown from a wound. The target only tests for knockdown if the damage result is at least +5 over the Wound Threshold. For example, if your WT is 10, you only test for knockdown if the damage dealt (after armor) is 15+. Second, the DN for the knockdown test is the damage over the WT, without the +3 modifier used in earlier editions.
So, Waterfall Slam 1) automatically triggers a knockdown test on a Wound regardless of damage dealt and 2) Adds its rank to the DN for the knockdown test.

Thanks. That actually makes a lot of sense and I like that change. The system from 1st and 2nd where getting a wound gave you -1 to all rolls plus (typically always) knockdown often seemed like overkill. Adding the extra threshold before the secondary knockdown affect has a chance to proc makes that much better.

It's really carved out an interesting niche for the Warrior. I also forsee much more use of the Attack to Knockdown combat option.
