Heh, I had a player who discovered after years of playing he wasn't rolling the correct dice. Mistakes can happen anywhere. People constantly complain about being bored waiting for the Swordmaster with 7 attacks to finish his go. My answer - bookkeeping

3e Earthdawn with Exciting New Changes! Released the core rules, Kratas Sourcebook, Cathay Player's and Gamemasters books, couple adventure modules
3eR with Exciting New Changes! Started re-releasing the core rule but line canceled before releasing the complete rules
We've(meaning the fanbase) been going through the core rule treadmill for the past 15 years.
The line has a new LD and...;
Announcing 4e Earthdawn with Exciting New Changes!
I don't see how a new edition is going to help the veterans or cause new players to start buying up the product.
