What i meant with Danger Sense and trap is when you succeed with the DS test you didnt avoid the harm, you just cant act to try avoiding the harm, its just like you would pass Initiative test versus Initiative of the trap (it simply lets you test Talent instead of pure Initiative). Sometimes its impossible to avoid the trap, its just too big (like your in the middle of 50m corridor and floor falls down) or its range is too big. And ofcourse all characters that would be affected by the trap can make Danger Sense test (sometimes triggering character is not in area of traps "area of harming", and then he wouldnt be testing DS as he is not in danger).
Swift Kick needs Higher Initiative to be used. Maybe its something like that.

Re: Danger Sense Mechainics
Danger Sense is based off of Dexterity to represent preternatural reflexes; the ability to react without necessarily being consciously aware of it. It is pretty heavily based on the old Trap Initiative, expanded to allow a bit broader utility.
For traps, it works pretty much the same as it always did -- it enhances Initiative to try and avoid the effect of or take some other action in regard to a trap.
For ambushes, the intent is for it to act as a 'second chance' to avoid surprise. The character would make a Perception test to notice the ambush (as normal). If that fails, they can make a Danger Sense test during the "surprise round" and, if the result is high enough, can take action as normal (just as if they had passed the initial Perception/Awareness test).

Re: Danger Sense Mechainics
Ahh, that makes sense.
For Surprise/Ambush situations, would the Danger Sense roll be considered the character's Initiative Test for that first round?
If so, good to go (but can't use other Init Talents).
If not, character has to make another Init test (& maybe use other Init talents).
