I'm looking for a concise yet thorough explanation of Barsaive, including its history and peoples for my players. I could hand them the GM's guide but ideally I'd like to be able to email them the info so they can read through it all before they create characters. I feel their experience would be much richer if they knew what exactly they were getting in to.

Is there, or does anyone know for such material?

One unrelated question; when is GenCon 2012 exactly? I ask because that's when the revised 3ed is out for the public.

I know it's been said if you own the current 3ed books, you don't need to buy the revised 3ed (but I'm going to anyway).

I'd like to know if 'any' changes to the rules have been made?

Can I pick up and re-read my 3ed books now, knowing I can buy the revised and not have to go through them as well hunting for small rule changes?

So are there any rule changes at all, no matter how small, or is it just errata, layout and the possible inclusion of a few possible summary tables?
