ED3 New Knacks feedback

We've got a couple of proposed knacks for our campaign that I'd like some feedback on please. We're focusing on trying to give some love to shield users, as we all agree that the shield rules are lacking in our opinion. We've added some House Rules already, thought we'd work on knacks as well.
Knack #1: (blatantly retooled from Head Butt)
Knack: Shield Bash
Talent: Melee Weapons (or Shield Charge?)
Rank: 7
Strain: 2
While fighting in a Defensive Stance, the adept may try to stun his opponent with his shield by making a Melee Weapons Test as a special Attack Test (keeping in mind the -3 penalties for fighting defensive). If successful, the target is Stunned for one round per Result Level, starting with a Good Result. On a Pathetic Result, the adept himself is Stunned for one round – jarring himself against his opponent. This knack may only be performed once a round.
Knack #2:
Knack: Shield Punch
Talent: Parry
Rank: 7
Strain: 2
While fighting in an Aggressive Stance the Adept may sacrifice shield armor bonuses for the remainder of the round to make a Parry test against a single opponent’s physical defense as a Free Action. If successful, the adept strikes his opponent with the edge of his shield. Use the adepts strength step added to shield armor level, to determine the shield damage step.
