This is probably a stupid question but I couldn't find the answer.

When using the abstract rules for crew combat in Airship / Riverboat combat what is the number to use as defense when rolling the attack so that success level can be determined? Is it the other crew's rating?

According to the quick example of play in the Boarding Battles box, your roll vs the opposing Crew Rating. It doesn't mention it in the non-italics text, tho.... only in the example.

Kind of funny because we condensed the rules text to be able to include an example. ^^

(But, yes: just include "Defense" in the list of things Crew Rating is used for.)
