We were wondering if talents like Meditate stack with spells like circle of well being, heat food, etc when recovering hit points.

Check the wordings involved, but very likely should.

There's 2 types of replacement effects (replace a component step, replace an entire test).
In BOTH cases, the test still is considered the original type of test (possibly in addition to the new type of test it may also now be).
The difference is just that the first type of replacement might leave some of the formula's innate components intact, while the second one overwrites it all.
The large majority of bonuses (that themselves arent replacement-type) are external and not part of a base formula of something, and thus don't care what replacement shenanigans you did to the test, they apply on top of it.

If you _spend_ a Recovery Test and then make a Meditate Test and _heal that much damage_ then you haven't made an actual Recovery Test, and bonuses that apply to Recovery Tests specifically don't apply to the Meditate Test.

So, Meditate doesn't replace/substitute for a Recovery Test.

You'll almost exclusively find this in healing abilities.

However, it should then be possible to drink a booster, get into a circle a well being for an hour and then drink a healing potion and stack all of those? becomming touchness+casters will+8+8 recovery?(=~32)

Sounds legit.

Yeah, everything else in healing pretty much stacks, as it all adds to Recovery Tests (which is one of the reasons the low-Circle healing talents don't also add in, the other being that they usually allow the test to be taken under special circumstances and that in itself is a boon).
