The rules for Shattering a Shield (Player's Guide, p. 225) state, "The character makes a Damage Test against the shield’s Shatter Threshold.... If the test succeeds, the shield shivers and breaks...."
Does this damage need to be inflicted all at once in order to be effective? Or can a character make multiple such attacks against the shield, accumulating damage until the shield finally gives?
