I'd say no to Tiger Sping when springing a trap on an adept as it says in the discription of Tiger Spring that the Adept reacts move quickly IN COMBAT.

i've a question about talents that improve initiative...
could a player declares:
cobra strike (replace initiative step) so : cobra strike rank + dex = new adept's initiative step
and then declares:
air dance (replace dex step) so : cobra strike rank + air dance rank + dex = new adept's initiative step
and then declares:
tiger spring (add rank to initiative step) so : cobra strike rank + air dance rank + dex +tiger rank = new adept's initiative step
thank for your answer, i'm a little bit lost...

thank you!
as i understand the air dance description should be "replace initiative step" like cobra strike and not "replace dex step", because it's confusing...
another point is: air dance and cobra strike are action "free" and rules specify that there is no limit on how many free action we can use in a round ("Free Actions, like Simple Actions, are not limited" / "During each combat round, a character can take one Standard action and any number of Simple actions") so it's a little bit complicated to interpret...may be there is a lack of precision in rules?

It has to be a free (or maybe simple action) because it replaces/affects Initiative, which is rolled once per round, and is not part of the normal action economy. Since you can't stack multiple 'replacement' talents on the same test, that supersedes the ability to take multiple free/simple actions. (More specific rules trump broader ones.)
And yes, the discrepancy in the phrasing (replaces Dexterity/replaces Initiative) is an error, most likely the result of a versioning during different development/editorial passes.
