Here i come with an other question
the shadowmantis creature

Poison [SD 8; Damage Step 9]
Rules: A shadowmant uses its tail to sting its victims. The stinger contains a poison powerful enough to kill a troll within 10 rounds.
Once the poison has killed its prey, the shadowmant eats its victim.
Poison: The shadowmant’s virulent poison resists the healing effects of talents or healing aids with a Spell Defense of 8.

As far as i can understand, this poison works this way
1) target is hit, poison enters the body of the victim with at least 1 hp di damage from the tail attack
then, the target can try to resist (TOU test vs poison SD 8)
if he fails, the poison kicks in, effect test 9 damage
then i assumed the poison goes on until the target doesnt beat the SD 8
it's ok ?
there isnt any duration on that description

but from this (step 9) to killing a troll in 10 seconds is... somehow... overrated.
it takes at least 24 seconds (4 unresisted turns) of damage to do an average of 9x4=36 hp dmg that against a 14 TOU score creature means death
i am doing something wrong ?

It doesn't say 10 seconds, it says 10 rounds.
That's just fluff, after a fashion.

The rules for shadowmants should be modified like this:
"Poison: See Shadowmant Venom, p. 126."
