Could the Ironwood spell and the Wood Skin talent have a synergy?
And what about the same spell on Bark, Trim Wood or Wood Tile armors?

Re: Ironwood and Wood Skin
First of all in title you should put edition like: [Ed4]
In Ed4 there is no such spell as Ironwood.

Personally, I did not question the title of this post.
There are a limited number of people in the world that have access to the ED4 rules. I just guessed your question was for the ED3 rules.

Re: [ED3] Ironwood and Wood Skin
Wood armors were detailed in Namegivers of Barsaive under "Alternate Crafting Materials" (and some others in the Nations of Barsaive series, like Serpent River). Wood armors are -1 Physical armor to their metal equivalents (50% base cost). That's the only mod for most wood, although there are some wood armors with special properties like reduced Init penalty. I'd allow the spell to grant +1 Physical Armor in most cases.

Talent and spell - they do not combine.
For armors: it should work (i'm not able to check wood armors now). By the rule it change characteristics to metal - but only for durability and destroy (unless there is extra affect in spell).
Telarus suggest adding +1 armor and i disagree with +1 armor this armor should also have substantial weight increase.

Re: [ED3] Ironwood and Wood Skin
Then you must wear wood armor that is equivalent of metal armor. And stat are improved to metal armor. Not +2, to metal stat (afair it s +1 ? ). Any living armor is out of question as they are not wood but living.
Shield willow only target shields it is very narrow spell and affect any shield. It is empowerment spell, but ironwood is not this type. You can use your stick as good as metal crowbar. This spell was not intentionally developed to weapon/armor it can be used as they are rare in metal nations. Ironwood is very useful spell in hand of creative spell caster.
