The GM book discuss about "high magic" to come out from a curse.
How do you deal with them ?
1) how do players recognize they are cursed ?
2) how they can be "healed" by a curse ?
any suggestion on how deal it ?
thanks

Re: Curses and how to deal with them
I have a character that is cursed. He is aware he's cursed, however, he is wrong about the source of the curse. As far as being healed, he hasn't researched it, its just common sense, kill the source of the curse, removes the curse. But since he is wrong about the source, well, he might be wrong about the cure.
It really depends upon how you and your player(s) choose to deal with it to be honest. The mechanics associated with curses are for the most part story driven more than mechanics driven, but some mechanics driven effects can be sources of cursing, Named Spells, being a possibility. As for cures, well, a curse applied via a dying Nethermancer's last spell, i.e. Sacrifice Magic, might require something more than a dispel, even Abate Curse might have difficulty on this curse vs a simple Named Spell. But a Horror that has somehow managed to curse you in whatever manner might require even more than the Nethermancer's last spell and I don't recommend ever getting cursed by a Dragon.

Re: Curses and how to deal with them
good to know.
but if you dont know who is the source of the curse ? our GM had us cursed because we retrieved a treasure, so probably it was already cursed
for us it will means (when we will found out we are cursed, ofc) to search who was the one that actually cursed the stuff and solve his troubles.
but if he is already dead, it will means restore something that was done wrongly or something like this

Re: Curses and how to deal with them
discovering the curse is in part dependent upon what the curse is.
Its not hard to figure an item is cursed when you get burned every time you grab your favorite sword shortly after weaving a thread to a new dagger.
In my character's case, his appearance changed ... might take some time, but that's going to be noticed sooner or later.
If it is a bad luck type of curse, things just sorta go wrong not often enough to be "blatant", but enough to go, "what's up with this string of bad luck lately" It could just be the odds landing against your randomly or it might be a curse.
So how you notice the curse can be dependant upon how it affects you. As far as finding the source, I wonder what the story behind the treasure is. I kinda feel sorry for the archaeologists that dug up the Saxon horde a little while back if its cursed they might have difficulty finding the source they still haven't narrowed down its burial date beyond 700 ish A.D. So its at least 1300 years back, there had better be a seriously good pre-scourge information collection around somewhere if they hope to learn anything.
Answers are all over the place, it just depends upon, where you try to look.
