Questing for Two Passions

Would it be possible to Quest for Garlen and Jee at the same time? Garlen is the Barsaivian Passion of Home, Hearth, and Healing, while Jee is the Cathayan Passion of Health and Well Being. They represent the same basic drive, made manifest. Could someone Quest for both simultaneously?

It is my understanding that to be a Questor for someone you generally need to be really focused and in-tune with that Passion to gain their Questor powers. So typically I would say that you could not quest for two passions at once. Also, the Namegivers who would feel strong connections to both Barsaivian and Cathayan passions both would be few and far between. Even Krathis Gron of Cara Fahd, originally from Cathay, only followed the Barsaivian pantheon in the modules she is in...

However, it has been hinted that the Passions are very similar to disciplines, and it is your game, so exceptions could of course be made. I would think that, if you were to end up questing for two different passions, you should have a separate talent for each one as well as separate Devotion Point counters. Alternately, you could only allow for that character to have three Questor powers available to them as opposed to all of the powers available to each passion...

This kind of goes against rules as written, but if it fits fluff wise I don't see it being a large problem mechanically.

I'm going to go with "Yes, and..." or "Yes, but...." It's a good idea and lines up with my take on the Passions. The cultural influence on the manifestations of the Passions is very important, as Tanthalas noted. I'll have to mull this over a bit.
