The young boys who kept the gunners on wooden ships supplied with black powder and wadding were known as "powder monkeys". What would be the proper term for the children who fetch boxes of true Air and true Fire for the gunners on ships equipped with fire cannon?

Most nick names have a double entendre.
How about “Nugget Thumper”. In this case they thump across the decks to the various locations to retrieve the pure kernel containers. Their shoes have heavy wood plugs in the soles and thin strips of leather for traction, the thumping is loud and distinct enough to keep shipmates firmly aware of their location. This system was developed to help prevent unwanted collisions on the deck during battle, the kind that had historically resulted in lost ships and crews with dramatic and showy results.

Have you ever wondered where those failed Elementalist adepts that are stuck at the first or second, even the third circle in some cases?

Have you ever wondered why an Elementalist would only train his Adept apprentice on the ground when his job is on an Airship?

Now, while I am a Wizard, I am familiar with Elementalists, and the last time I checked, it was almost required to have an Elementalist for dealing with True Elements. Now, while having one Elementalist on board an Airship with multiple novices would be potentially expensive and hard to accomplish (% of population as Adepts, factoring in only Elementalists, well, that's not that large a number.) But why pay full price for an Elementalist when you can hire this Half-Magic Adept that happens to be able to handle True Elements like an Elementalist. But that's also not that common. But if you can afford to have some specialized gear made, it might be possible to use anyone and since child labor isn't outlawed in Barsaive, These "Fire Rats" the sorted True Elements in their containers and hand them the each Cannon Master who loads the guns and returns the empty containers to the "Fire Rats" who return to the Elementalist.

If the kids who handle True Fire are Fire Rats, then would the kids who handle True Air be Gas Passers?
