Crouch & prone

On my last session we started a discussion about Stance in combat.
1) Character who crouches should have + to shooting
2) Time needed to crouch from prone or stand should be shorter than Standing Up.
3) Character who is in crouch/prone should have Defense bonus against missile attacks
4) Movement rate while crouch/prone

My propositions:
1) For kneeling +1 to Missile Weapons Tests, but for 1 Strain and maximum Weapon Size for medium races (orcs, humans, elves, t'skrangs) is 4 and for dwarfs it is 3.

2) Prone -> Crouch
a) Requires Standard Action + allows movement (half of the Movement Rate)
b) Like Jumping Up combat option but 1 Strain only (Simple Action + Attack allowed + no movement)
Crouch -> Stand
a) Simple Action (but not in the same round as Prone->Crouch - for Prone->Stand normal rules apply)
Stand -> Crouch
a) Simple Action
Stand -> Prone
a) Simple Action (2 Strain as dmg for suddenly falling on the ground)
b) Standard Action

3) Kneeling/proning character got bonus to Defense as it would be behind Cover one lvl higher than normal (no cover->partial->full->complete) but it is for GM discretion to give bonus for laying in a tall grass or sth.
Crouch:
a)In open area: Partial Cover +1/+2
b)behind cover: Partial->Full->Complete
Prone:
a)in open area: Partial Cover +2/+3
b)behind cover: Partial->Full->Complete

4) Prone: Movement Rate is 1
Crouch: Movement Rate is reduced by half and character can use Sprint combat option with all consequences but max speed while crouching is full normal Movement Rate (reduced by obstacles, terrain and so on)

Of course those rules aren't perfect but I think I will try them out. Of course for close combat crouch may result being Harried (-1/-2).

What do you think?

I think it adds needless complexity. There's already a way to get a bonus to ranged combat by aiming. In my experience, trying to go for too much realism in mechanics is a slippery slope.

Having said that, if you and your group enjoy lots of crunch, go for it.
