Area of Effect spells with continuing damage ?

A spell has an area of effect that does continuing damage, for example Doom Missile or Suffocation.
I am just checking that is you move out of the spell's area of effect, although the spells duration has not expired, you do not continue taking damage, unless the spell description specifies otherwise ??
Cheers, Chris

Doom missile does not have an area of effect.
Suffocation states that until the targets move out of range (NOT the area of effect) they continue to be affected by the spell.

Normally, moving out of the AoE means the spell doesn't affect you any more.
That said, there may be individual rules in spell descriptions that circumvent that.

The spell descriptions are (generally) pretty specific about what they affect and how, but there is some terminology that the devs use that could use some clarification. Ex: character, target, etc.
Arma can say more about those terms (it might behoove everyone if you stickied them somewhere, arma).

I was considering a spell FAQ, but my new job currently eats about 12 hours of my day, so...
(plus, this is probably one of the things that gets addressed in ED3R, so it'll be part of the "errata" anyway then)
