I figured it was time to ask again - are there any Earthdawn games running online?

I'm a tremendous fan of 1st edition (have all the novels including the Per Aspera ones, and nearly all the RPG books, played for years at Purdue, and used to run a yahoo group http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/sha ... dir&slk=13 ). I played 3rd edition with the Suttons, some other employees, and fellow players at GenCon (I was the obsidiman who body-slammed the wizard to get him to safety ).

I've had no luck this past decade getting a game locally - have any online games developed lately? I've found nothing on OpenRPG or Infrno, but there are bound to be other venues.

Anything with live chat? Play-by-post isn't really my thing.

I've got something just started every other Saturday 1pm EST with some guys on obsidian portal, ventrilo and maptools. The site is http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns ... wn-decatur. I'm new to the online stuff, but the players have used it before and actually played together. One's from up north (Michigan?) and the other is from Brazil. We're doing the hole-in-the-ground-gambit, starting in the kaer. One is an ork troubadour and the other is an obsidiman elementalist. 1st ed (since that's what we all have in common).

Request to join the campaign on obsidian portal, then! I'll check to see if the character creation details are up - it's basically the standard point system. Characters get 200 bonus legend points and 3 bonus skill points. Trolls & obsidimen who become magicians get 400 instead of 200 LPs to make up for the strength minimum. Currently the kaer has dwarves, trolls, orks and one obsidimen (just the one!). At this point I don't want to write in anymore races, but you could play a non-adept until the kaer is opened - which won't be long. At that point you could run pretty much anyone. Also join penandpapergames.com. We normally meet there in the chat room to while we are getting the vent set up.

I already sent you an obsidian portal request yesterday - I'll come up with a concept, probably a troll (I love trolls and obsidimen). Are all the PC's listed on obsidian portal, or is that just some of them? I'm already registered on penandpapergames.com, play a Serenity game there Wed mornings.

Yeah, that's it right now. I'd like to build up to a total of 4 or 5 players, but I didn't want to wait to get them all. Figured once I had a couple hooked the rest would follow.
