Crafting arrows and bolts using Craft Weapon Skill

On page 95, the description of the Craft Weapon skill says to use the size and damage step of the associated weapon to craft the number of missiles listed in the Missile Weapons table.

The example then has the medium crossbow bolts taking 4 days to create and blowgun needles taking 1 day to create. Shouldn't those be 9 days (4 size + 5 damage step) and 2 days (1 size 1 damage step)? Or is the example right and the description wrong?

Yeah, that's been there from the last edition.
I'd go with the example here.
I'll put it on my errata list.

Ouch, it is as hard to create arrows as a bow, bow making historically was a specialist skill, while arrows where churned out in there hundreds by semi-skilled labour. Well guess it’s the price we pay to avoid unfun levels of complexity.

Just confirming Arma's note.

Missiles use the Size and Damage Step of the weapon. It takes a number of days equal to the Size and a Craft Weapon roll against the Damage Step+6 to make XX missiles. The example is correct; the text is missing some explanation.

Ooooh, that makes sense now.

You could use the "Default skill" rules (one additional Result Level if untrained), solely for regular bolts and arrows.
