In order to take Lift the Curtain, the adept must have Astral Sight at rank 9. The adept must pay 1 strain to activate Astral Sight and pay an additional strain to active Lift the Curtain. One round is six seconds. At rank 9, The astral sight lasts 54 seconds, so the adept would only have to pay once for Lift the Curtain.

If the adept had Rank 15 is Astral Sight, it would last 90 seconds. The adept would have to pay an additional strain for the extra 30 seconds of allowing others to see astral space.

If the adept was a wizard and cast Astral Sense spell, the duration of the astral sight talent would be Spell Casting Rank + 10 minutes. If this adept then wanted to use Lift the Curtain the strain cost of one per minute come more into play. If this wizard had spell casting rank 15, he can view astral space using the spell for 25 minutes.
