As for First Circle Archer ability, Karma: The adept may spend a Karma Point on Perception tests (not Perception based) that rely on sight. Its only for test when you want to understand(while looking at it) / check if you see something, its not for all test that use Perception stat like Talents, the only exeption I would do is for Awarness when trying to spot someone or something.
Talent Astral Sight is totaly different thing as you dont use your eyes, it uses magic that makes you think that you "see" astral plain just because its easier for the brain to do it that way.
