Dos the +2 bonus to damage work with missile and/or spell attack?

Can you use it against animal or npc without armor?

Can the bonus to damage be lager then armor bonus?

Spot Armor Flaw cannot be used with spells.

Here is how the talent is intended to work:

It grants a bonus to damage regardless of if the target is wearing armor. It does not work with effect tests.

Spot Armor Flaw does not enhance the damage from Spell Effect tests. It should be fairly clear from context of the discussion what he was referring to, as the question was about the talent affecting spells. There is no need to get pedantic and quote the rulebook.

In general, a talent will affect physical (close combat/ranged) attacks, or spells, but not both. If you look at which Disciplines get the talent, it seems clear to me that it is intended to enhance physical combat. After all, it isn't given to any of the magician Disciplines.

Panda is one of the developers for ED4. His "opinion" on how a talent or rule is supposed to work is heavily informed by the fact that he helped write it.

I don't have a problem with people discussing different interpretations of the rules. After all, language is an imprecise thing and something that we thought would have been pretty clear--whether through context, or some other aspect--might not be as clear to somebody else for whatever reason.

As long as that discussion remains polite and respectful.

Your disputes with other people's interpretations of the rules can get argumentative and focused on the minutia of individual examples and picking on word choice. It gets tiresome, and I would ask that you try and rein that in.

(This isn't just because Panda is a developer, by the way, it's been an issue that I've noticed in other discussions.)
